Gas Prices.

The gas prices are something that is all over the news. Gas and food prices are really going up all over the world. In the first article I read about how the prices are going up and more people are shopping and spending more money. They talked a lot about the economy as a whole. The second article was better it talked about the actual prices of gas. The average cost of gas right now is above $1.20. The lowest is around $1.14. We are not only having problems in Canada but in the U.S. also. They find themselves at an all time high also. The prices for things are going up all around the world. The food prices in Africa are getting so high that they are afraid of a food shortage because nobody will be able afford the food. They need to lower these prices or we won't be able to go on. They are predicting the prices of gas to go up to more than $1.30 before the summer, I actually heard one day $1.50. If prices keep going up like this we wont be able to buy the gas anymore and where I live there is no other way to get places, but in the city everybody is going to have to take public transportation, or walk. They are going to have to lower the prices or I see things going down hill for all.

Overall the two articles really had the same message but not really the same information. The article from the world paper was more interested in the economy as a whole and what everything looked like. The article from CBC was really focused on the gas prices right now here in Canada and in the States. They only looked at the direct prices and nothing else. I would say the articles are very different in the way they wrote about the same topic of gas prices.
I got my information from CBC news http://www.cbc.ca/money/story/2008/04/22/gasprices.html

and the World News http://article.wn.com/view/2008/05/01/Soaring_prices_for_food_gas_push_consumer_spending_higher_6/?section=RegionNAmerica&template=worldnews%2Findex.txt
